NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICING AND PREVENTION UPDATE

Monthly Community Update from Sgt Ian Roach September 2026

I hope this message finds you well. As we move from the busy Summer into the Autumn, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

. Shoplifting – Targeting our most frequently hit stores.

. Anti-social behaviour remains a priority concern for our local communities and will remain a main priority especially with issues arising of persons gathering in                      St. Peters Church grounds, drinking.

.  Drug dealing and drug related activity.

. Signing local community up Connects.

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas with retail crime week around the corner and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise. If you see us out and about please do not hesitate to come and have a chat.
